The enticing appearance and delicious taste are not the only reasons why summer plums are recommended in a balanced diet. They provide a multitude of phytonutrients and are a good source of vitamin C.
Preparation and cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 summer plums
• 1 tablespoon apple juice
• 1 tablespoon of honey
• 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
• 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
Method of preparation:
- Cut the plums lengthwise into 8 equal slices and place in a bowl
- In a small bowl, mix the apple juice well with the honey, cinnamon and almond extract
- The resulting sauce is added with a spoon over the leafy plums
- Sprinkle the chopped almonds over the plums in the sauce
